规范民事执行程序中执行行为的基本原则。

基于民事执行有别于民事审判的特殊性，设立专门执行人员和执行机关履行执行职责，行使民事执行权，改变由审判人员、审判庭兼办执行案件的做法。与审执合一相对应。

法院按照法定程序，依法采取强制措施，迫使被执行人履行生效法律文书所确定的义务。

执行主体
有广义和狭义之分。广义为在民事执行程序中享有权利和承担义务，并能够引起执行程序发生、变更或终结的人，包括执行机关、执行当事人、执行监督机关，以及协助执行人等执行参与人；狭义为代表国家行使公权力强制债务人履行义务、实现债权人权利的执行机关。在民事执行法上，执行机关是重要的执行主体之一。

指定执行
对于下级执行机关之间发生管辖权争议的案件，或者认为应当由其他执行机关执行的案件，最高人民法院或上级人民法院通过裁定指令该案执行管辖的制度。又称指定管辖。

委托执行
对于被执行人或者被执行财产在外地的案件，受理执行案件的人民法院委托当地的同级法院代为执行的一种司法互助制度。

责令执行
执行法院自收到申请执行书之日起超过6个月未执行的，上级人民法院依据债权人的申请责令执行法院在一定期限内执行，是上级法院对下级法院消极执行行为进行执行监督的一种方式。又称督促执行。

协助执行
在强制执行程序中，有关单位、个人在接到执行法院协助通知，其他法院在接到执行法院协助请求时，应当协助办理执行机关通知或请求的事项的执行方式。
